WordPress speed work that passes on mobile
Desktop scores are easy. Mobile is where your buyers are and where most sites fail. We audit honestly, fix the causes rather than installing another plugin, and re-test on real devices.
-
Causes, not symptoms Plugin bloat, heavy templates and unoptimised images, dealt with at the source.
-
Measured on mobile Real device testing and field data, not a flattering desktop score.
-
An honest verdict If cleanup will not get you there, we will say a rebuild is the better spend.

Why WordPress sites get slow
It is nearly always the same four things, in the same order.
What speed work involves
In the order that produces the biggest gains first.
Audit and diagnosis
Lab and field data, waterfall analysis, and which specific plugin or script is costing what.
Plugin audit and cleanup
Removing what is unused, replacing what is heavy, loading the rest only where it is needed.
Template and markup work
Cutting render blocking resources and reducing the weight of the pages that matter most.
Images and media
Correct sizes, modern formats, lazy loading below the fold, and proper dimensions to stop layout shift.
Caching and delivery
Page, object and browser caching configured properly, with a CDN where it helps.
Verification
Re-tested on real devices, plus field data over the following weeks, not just a one off score.

How the work runs
Measure, fix, measure again. The last step is the one that proves it.
-
1
Measure
Lab tests plus field data, on mobile, with a waterfall that shows what is actually blocking.
Week 1 -
2
Clean up
Plugins audited and reduced, scripts conditionally loaded, heavy features replaced.
Week 1 to 2 -

Bint E Hafsa
Hafsa handles speed work as development rather than as a plugin configuration exercise. Theme markup, conditional script loading, image pipelines and caching all get touched, which is why the results hold rather than drifting back in a month.
Speed is a revenue problem before it is an SEO one
Buyers leave before Google ever re-crawls.
Real speed work vs installing a cache plugin
What speed optimisation costs
Usually a fixed price project, quoted after the audit shows what is involved.
What you can count on
We audit before quoting, so the price reflects the real work. If cleanup will not get you to passing scores, we will tell you that before you spend anything, rather than billing for an improvement that does not clear the bar.

The three metrics that decide it
Core Web Vitals comes down to LCP, how long the main content takes to appear, INP, how quickly the page responds when someone taps, and CLS, whether things jump around while loading. Each has a different cause, and treating them as one score is why generic advice so often fails to move anything.
Where WordPress speed actually goes
- Plugins loading their CSS and JavaScript on every page, including pages that never use them
- Page builder markup, which is heavy by design and cannot be cached away
- Images uploaded at full resolution and scaled in the browser
- Fonts and third party scripts blocking the first paint
- A database full of years of revisions, expired transients and orphaned meta
Why caching plugins are not the answer on their own
Caching serves a heavy page faster. It does not make the page lighter, and it does nothing for INP, which is about how much JavaScript runs when someone interacts. Installing a cache plugin is the last step of speed work, not the first.
The honest verdict on page builders
A builder site can be brought to acceptable scores with cleanup. It will rarely beat a lean template, because the markup weight is inherent. When a client is close to a redesign anyway, spending the budget on a proper build usually returns more than polishing what is there. We say that up front rather than billing for an improvement that never clears the bar.
Speed and SEO together
Speed is one part of technical SEO, and on stores it overlaps heavily with WooCommerce SEO, where category and product templates are both the slowest pages and the ones that make the money. Doing the two together is usually cheaper than doing them a quarter apart.
It helps, and it is never the whole answer. Caching serves a heavy page faster; it does not make the page lighter. Plugin bloat, template markup and image weight all sit underneath it.
It is one signal among many, and rarely the deciding one. It matters more for conversions: on mobile, slow pages lose buyers before they lose rankings.
Page builders add markup and CSS, which costs speed. A builder site can be made acceptable; a lean template will usually beat it. We will tell you which side of that line your site is on.
After the audit we can give you a realistic target rather than a promise. Most sites improve substantially; a few need a rebuild, and we say so before you pay.
If the causes are fixed, yes. If plugins keep being added without review, speed drifts back, which is what a <a href="/wordpress-development/maintenance/">maintenance plan</a> is for.
Sometimes, and it is easy to blame first. We measure server response separately from front end weight so you know which one is actually costing you.
