Small Budget Google Ads: 20 Conversions From $50 in Ad Spend
Intent focused rebuild of a small account
21.98% CVRConversions
The challenge
The account was getting clicks, but too few turned into anything. Budget was going to traffic that was never going to convert, which is the most common way a small ad budget gets wasted.
What we did
- The campaign was rebuilt around intent rather than volume. Keywords were narrowed to the terms people search when they are ready to act, not when they are researching.
- Ad copy was rewritten to match those searches so the click and the landing page said the same thing. A negative keyword list cut the traffic that cost money and never converted.
- Conversion tracking was set up properly, and campaign structure and budget were reorganised around what the data showed.
The outcome
Between 12 and 18 August 2026: 91 clicks, 20 conversions, $50.11 total spend, $0.55 average cost per click, a 21.98% conversion rate and $2.51 per conversion.
Project notes
What it shows. A 21.98% conversion rate means roughly one in five clicks turned into an action. Most accounts sit in the low single digits. The difference was not budget, it was who the budget was spent on.
